Vavoom vs GZDoom

Postby guydudeperson » 20 Jul 2008 17:31

I've seen Graf Zahl pointing out shit thats wrong with Vavoom( I don't see anything wrong with Vavoom :? ) I know it just him bitching because GZDoom is "better".Its not, GZDoom dislikes Vavoom and vice versa but which ones better...

GZDoom:
OpenGL renderer only cuz without it its ZDoom with like 3 bug fixes
3D floors made like how I would describe as stupid
Graf is a dick in my opinion
Its OpenGL is ugly
Way to hard to edit (6 billion types of dynamic lights)
Too popular
Graf bashes Vavoom

Vavoom:
OpenGL, software, D3D renderer and all are good
3D floors make sense
Janis seems nice
OpenGL still a little ugly but never was its biggest fan tho
Easy editing and comes with its own config and not one made by people who want to use it
Rather well known and not overrated(GZDoom) or underrated(EDGE).
Janis seems to work rigorously to fix Vavoom up where glitches appear

Nope, GZDoom has the same type of skyboxes AFAIK, both also support Unreal type of skyboxes too.
