Hmmm, scanning through the readme file, it seems that it is missing some files...
Apparently there are AVI files on the CD?

---
AVI.EXE, STRIFE.AVI, MOVIE.BAT: Required if you want to see the AVI film.
---

Those seem to be the only things missing, but you can play the full game without them (As far as I can tell anyway... says so in the readme file :P)

Hurrah! Just downloaded full version of Strife. ;D Getting on to play it. I hope this will not hurt development of Vavoom too much ;)

A year ??? I have completed Half Life and DeusEx in a little bit more than a week 8) so I don't think that it will take that much. I also must find some time to play Soldier of Fortune, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Max Payne and Commandos 2 ... ;D

If you continue to misbehave youself, you wont get your reward, we wont pay you the promised 2,5 million $... ???
BTW, you're not playing Medal of Honnor, too?
Its a damn good piece...you should try it ...
Well, if you have time, then take it, as long as we get our Strife with openGL/D3D, high res, mlook, crosshair, environmental bumpmapping, pixel shader, trilinear filtering & triple buffer, then everything is cool... ;)
Oh yes, and EAX 2, too, please! ;D

Perhaps we should get the http://www.auran.com/jet/default.htm Auran Jet engine, and re-make the entire game, add a few extra weapons, another ending, more areas and a better experience system, and re-release Strife as a current-day FPS/RPG extravaganza?
I get 10% of all profits for posting this idea first!

--Glassworks

WOW!The Auran Jet Engine is a blast! But I dont know if it will work correctly w/ Strife...I mean, it's not good enough...I'm going to try the demo now and them let you know...
As for making a new Strife based RPG, you're too late, Ramborc is already doing that in Ravengames.com...w/ the Vavoom Engine! ;D

:oThis Auran engine is one hell of a thing!!!!
But one needs to be a damn good C++ programmer to get something out of it...
Maybe Janis can work w/ it, I, certainly can not... ;)

The Auran Jet Engine features look nice ... but the demo is huge and in order to compile something for it I must order it. No, thanks! :)

Censoring - yep, the board system haves such a feature. I removed all censored words, so now you can say "kiss my ass" and it will be not displayed as "I dissagree". ;)

Thanx a lot, you're very kind...
But if it is allowed, there is no fun anymore...see what you post intead of my "bad words" was very amusing... :D
Well, lets talk business...
Have you finished Strife yet?
Can't you at least put a crosshair and a real mlook option in it?
And increase resolution say to 640x480, even without hardware acceleration, as they did to the Win95 version of Hexen and Ultimate Doom?
It was a great help already...
I'm in touch w/ a guy from Rogue, who said that he could not do much at the moment, but to not loose hope it was just a legal question, nothing more, and soon as it was solved Strife code could be released without major problems...so, lets not give up m'boyos !!! ;)

I just finished Strife. And I must say that it's simply great! Those who have not tried it yet go and download it while it's available.

No, I can't do what you ask because I don't have the source code.

YaBB stands for "Yet Another Bulletin Board". This is the system that runs this forum.

"Full Memeber" and others depends on amount of posts you have made.
