That's it in theory, but in practice making a game that allows grinding will attract such players. Once there's enough of them, they will form a faction and pressure you to make changes they like.

Okay, so here's a not questionable idea:

Randomly select clay pot (pitcher) contents on spawn.
Hexen always has exactly the same item in each clay pitcher. If you know which is which, you can skip the ones with monsters. Contents

Nice one, but chances should be higher for simplier items and lower for valuable items, ofcourse.
